A bottle of Sauvignon Blanc

History
Our One Barrel program invites our winemaking team to choose a favorite barrel from the cellar each year. While they complain that it is like choosing a favorite child, the program is a fun exploration of what a single barrel of our wine can offer. A single barrel of Pinot Noir was the “chosen one” of the 2024 vintage.

Winemaking
We have a long history of making Pinot Noir in Anderson Valley and for the 2024 One Barrel we chose to share our take on this varietal. In the deep end of the valley, just north of Husch, one of our favorite partners had an exceptional growing season and we wanted to showcase some of their hard work. The Henneberg’s Dijon 113 block developed some phenomenal flavors. The fruit was so vibrant and flavorful, we knew it would make a great wine. Once fermented, we barrel aged the wine for 9 months in French Oak to add structure and elevate the mouthfeel of this amazing Pinot.

Tasting Notes
Our 2024 One Barrel Pinot Noir highlights the elegance of Anderson Valley fruit. The Dijon 113 clone is known for delivering vibrant high-toned aromatic notes, and this wine didn’t disappoint. Amazing aromas of black cherry, wild raspberry, and rose petal rise from the glass. On the palate, refined oak integration frames the bright red fruit with layers of baking spice, forest floor, black tea, and a touch of truffle. Silky yet structured, this Pinot Noir is both seductive and deeply expressive from first sip to last.
